Every now and then, I witness a piece of video so uncomfortable that it’s almost painful. A great of example of that : the ottoman fuckers. Sure, it’s funny as Hell, but it’s also just…weird.
Then there are the videos that are unbelievably awkward acts of white people brutalizing something so horribly in their attempt that it borders on race hatred. This is one of those videos.
Everyone knows the song Sugar Sugar by The Archies. It’s one of those stupidly catchy, vapid pop songs of the 60’s that won’t leave your brain if you happen to catch it somewhere. If you happened to hit that link…yeah, you know what I’m talking about. Good luck forgetting THAT for the next three days.
Anyway, one of the Archies (Jughead Jones) was in a made for TV Archie movie (and if that phrase doesn’t make you want to vomit, you suck) called Return to Riverside. I guess he decided that the old song wasn’t ‘hip’ enough…and seeing as it’s 1990, it’s time to give it a more urban groove.
Allow me to apologize on behalf of Caucasians everywhere to…well, to anyone with ears and eyes.
