IS it more or less lame to do the typical “Let’s talk about the blogging challenge as a post for the blogging challenge”, but not as your first post of said challenge?? I’m not sure if that’s less pathetic, or even more so. Regardless of the answer, I’m totally doing it.
Here is the official list of participants :
Me – Obviously. If this is news to you, you‘re an idiot. Or perhaps you’re the latest obsessed uberfan of ArmA 2 here to tear me a new one for daring to make fun of it, and ya got a little lost.
Liam – In the Now – Liam’s going to be pretty reliable in the posting department, especially with him not looking for a job OR expecting the imminent birth of another kid, at the moment.
Kelly – ‘Round the Bend – I’ll be blunt…It will be a shock of Kelly actually issues forth another post. It would represent a rather substantial blog accomplishment. And I’m not even 100% sure he actually intended to be a part of this, but we’ll mock him if he fails regardless of his intentions. UPDATE : Since typing this up Tuesday and scheduling it for posting today, Kelly has actually added another post. I’ll be damned.
Tammy – Tam I Am – Total wildcard. Maybe she’ll flame out and collapse in a heap of lack of topic inspiration by week three…or maybe she’ll start pounding out 3,300 word treatises on the works of great philosophers.
Shaun – Expedition of Truths – Last year, Shaun started running a bit of smack because he felt my repeated postings about games was wrong. I’ll remember that this year as I keep a tally of the number of times he describes something as ‘Amazing’.
Brad – Kick me out Soon – Another wildcard. I know he can write when he gets riled up, but he’s also distracted by an imminent move from the US to Canada (a move which will be dropping his participation from the challenge at some point…so he kinda rolls in as a loser).
Kim – In Desperate Need of Entertainment – Always can start producing kid-related posts, and if she runs out of material, can just begin a series entitled ‘Things Liam does that annoy the shit out of me’.
Erron – From the Inside Looking In – Is never going to run out of things to say for the simple reason that she is 100 percent fearless. She will talk about anything at any time that it pops in to her head, no matter what the Hell anyone else might think.
Kyle – Blog – Saved the creative energies people normally reserve for coming up with a title for their blog and uses it for posting content. Could be hampered by the fact he’ll have to start teaching more university students soon…or their total idiocy will supply him with a decade’s worth of content.
James – Feelings of White – A late joiner to the competition. James has lately focused on the frustrations of his home life. He could fall hard if Janine would just give in to the changes he wants to make to get them eating healthier. Unfortunately for the rest of us, Janine is too stubborn for that, giving James tons of frustration-related material. Thanks a lot, Janine.
Chad – The Grind – Chad can be a bubbling volcano of rage that needs to be directed at his coworkers. He also plays WoW, which probably gives him plenty to talk about that most people won’t even slightly understand. Of course, he could also self combust in to an angry ball of fire or simply cut off from the world and enter an idyllic life as an MMO shut in. We can only hope!
Vlad – Analog Coast – You’ll notice a lot of posts on ‘Vlad’s’ blog written by other people…and also on their blogs. Yes, ‘Vlad’s’ content generally consists of stuff written by other people.
Anyway, he’s going all crazy n’ shit and giving this ‘Write stuff myself’ madness a spin again this year.
Janine – Because – Yes, the stubborn wife of James has decided to just hop right in to this competition herself. Janine is another total unknown since she’s never really blogged before. She’s also constantly ranting about idiots from work, meaning she has a fountain of material.
So there we have it…the 13 competitors for this year’s challenge. It seems fitting that we number the unlucky 13.
Bring it, bitches!
