I figured on pirate firearms getting them 2-3 kills simply because they randomly fired some lucky shots up in to the rigging just as a ninja happened to cross that area. :) I quite agree. The firearms of the day were almost more likely to explode in their hands if they worked at all and they would only get a chance for one shot perhaps if the ninjas were playing with them and came head on. Ninjas have throwing stars, blow guns, arrows etc. for ranged weapons not to mention they could use assassinate the entire pirate crew while they slept/drank rum etc. While I have to give props to the pirates because they're cool and all.. in my mind it really isn't a contest.
