What I’m Playing

As many of you know, I kind of have a ‘thing’ with people who can’t take responsibility for their actions. And this is without a doubt the biggest example of that I’ve seen in quite some time.

Meet Gabriella Nagy. Gabby’s husband bundled up the kids and left her a few years ago. Why would he do that? Well, he looked at the phone bill and saw that Gabby had a cell phone in her maiden name, with a lot of hour long calls to one strange number. He called that number. The dude on the other end told him that “Oh yeah, Gabby and I have been fucking for 3 weeks.”

Gabriella admits to the affair. So, how does this genius respond? Does she admit responsibility for the whole thing? Does she even admit to a mistake?

Oh no, none of that here! This moron SUES ROGERS for ruining her marriage. Yes, it’s all the fault of the fucking phone provider that this chick spent 3 weeks getting cock slammed by some other guy.

Specifically, she’s blaming Rogers for consolidating her bill (which had been separate) on to the family Rogers bill, which is how the husband saw the phone charges. Did they screw up? Quite possibly, yes.

HOWEVER, the fact that this ditzy spunk repository is now blaming her marriage ending, and her losing her job due to her emotional breakdown afterwards, on the phone company is LUDICROUS. YOU chose to start banging someone else, NOT the phone company. YOU chose to try to keep the affair going, using a hidden cell phone account to do so, NOT the phone company. YOUR actions are 100% to blame for what happened to your marriage.

Shut up, grow up, and take some responsibility for YOU ruining your marriage, you selfish pig. Of course, if she loses the case and has to pay the court costs of both parties, I assume that she will immediately choose another target to take the brunt of blame for her own stupidity. Perhaps a random name chosen from the phone book might be a nice option.

Ugh.

Well, I’m going to play devil’s advicate. She DOES have a case in that Rogers violated her right to privacy. The cell phone company that I work for, if we sent a bill to a third party, to someone who was not the billing name, well, we would be liable. So, she just might have a leg to stand on in that regard… so even if she is saying that Rogers caused her marriage breakup and job loss breakdown, however stupid the idea may be, I think she could win.

It isn’t her fault … Obviously she tripped and fell on his dick…repeatedly and on multiple occasions

I agree Cliff. There is no way Rogers is at fault for her cheating. Privacy concern yes she may have a leg to stand on, but her cheating she needs to stand up, grow a pair of balls, or take someone’s, and take ownership for her own mistakes. To many people are quick to blame others.

Gotta go with Michelle on this one. Protection of personal information is the responsibility of the company providing the service. Is Gabriella Nagy an idiot? Sure seems like it. Did Rogers put her and her he-ho together? No. But they failed to protect her personal information – information that is protected by the law.

She’ll probably win the case, but she’s still a ditz, and she still loses at life.

She may win the fight over the privacy however that does not allow her to blame Rogers for her cheating. She did that, case and point. Rogers just exposed it.

I’ll agree with Shaun on this. While Rogers may have privacy issues, they did not ruin her marriage, she did.

I definitely agree that there appear to be troubling privacy issues here from the Rogers point of view. She has every right to take them to court over that.

What bothers me is that she’s putting all of the blame for her marriage ending and every other repercussion for the affair on Rogers. Sorry, but that doesn’t fly…her affair was the cause of all of that.
