Or something. I suck at titles…fuck off!
So, what’s happened now is that the only three human players still in the game are myself, Orange and Yellow. Everyone else has passed to AI control. The AI doesn’t expand, but they do invest in one or two stars, so by the time you get to them, those two stars have 60+ ships. The way combat works is that the defender goes first. So the defender is going to kill 60 ships before you even get an attack. The sheer number of craft you would need to attack that is insane.
Anyway, I think that pretty much ends this particular match for me, because it just isn’t interesting now. My entire Northern flank I don’t have to really worry about, but I also can’t amass enough to attack that way because the two human players would clobber me. I could keep going, but it just isn’t as interesting. I guess this is the selling point for paid games…you get people who have paid to play, so they’re unlikely to drop out. I looked in to it, and you can buy different packages that give you a certain number of games at around $1 a game, with $19.99 being the lowest amount.
Now, I wouldn’t ditch the game if I was playing against people who I knew, so if anyone is still interested, let me know. We’ll have to come up with a time that people will be online and ready to dive in to a game, wait for an empty free game to start, and hop in. Should work out okay, as it took about a day or so for this game to fill up.
