I actually really enjoyed Operation Flashpoint, and it definitely did share some of the same issues.

Here's my question...why is it acceptable for Bohemia Interactive to have never advanced past this? Why is it okay for them to continue putting out software with THE EXACT SAME FLAWS as stuff they released over a decade ago? Shouldn't we expect some level of improvement in their programming skills? They've certainly learned how to make everything look really shiny, but the behavior of their AI is the same mess it was back then.

Don't be such a turd, most of those things you mentioned were in the original Arma or Operation Flashpoint. You clearly aren't a fan of simulators. There were a few bugs, glitches and oversights, but Arma II is almost the exact same game as its predecessors. It's optimized decently...my shitty 6 year old gaming comp can still run it fine

I'm kind of hoping it shows up in one of the Steam daily deals before January 3rd... :)

I might not be remembering where I got the rifle from, but I know it was somewhere over there. Of course, the fragging option also seems effective.

Never even saw a rifle there. But, having gotten annoyed with it, when I was at the Anti-Tank range, I grabbed a bunch of shells, did MOUT by shooting the warlord in the face with a missle. Looted his rifle then finished the job.

The premise for this game is just so awesome... and the execution so abominable... Sad sad sad...

Of course I'm going to play it until I can't deal with it anymore. Damn thing cost me $50.
