HELLZ YEAH, BITCHES! Updated to Worship the Crossbar.

Good game last night! The kids watched a bit of the first period with us and Natalie decided that the Wings are really called the Feathers. Yup, the Detroit Feathers. Good name. Brennan announced that he would go and play with “those guys”, and Mia was quite interested. They all quickly became Penguins fans.

I loved watching Fleury stroke the crossbar! That was one of the best moments of the game. If I find a photo of it I’ll send it your way.

Excellent! And I’m glad to see the children shaking off the horrible influence of their delusional father and deciding to cheer for a team that, you know, actually MAKES the playoffs.

Marian Hossa got what he deserved. Of course, he’ll probably win a cup soon. He is in Detroit, after all. This is sweet retribution, though.

Actually, he only signed a one year deal with them, so he’s a free agent. They’d like to keep him, but they don’t have a ton of cap space, so it depends on what he’s willing to play for.

Oh come on now – I cheered for the Penguins all through the playoffs. Well.. second round onward. I did give the Flames the benefit of the doubt.

I’m glad Crosby got his cup. There’s no way he’ll keep this going. Some Bertuzzi-like clod is going to decapitate him next season ending his career. Probably someone hired by Gretzky to ensure he is not overshadowed.

I don’t know if Gretzky will still be around…did you know he makes something along the lines of $6 mil a year as a coach…nobody else makes more than half that. Considering the Coyotes are a disaster, methinks he’s as good as done.
