It’s guaranteed…whenever the incumbent president’s term is up and the Washington Redskins lose, the other party takes over. Seriously. I am not making this up.

Anyway, as for my fantasy team…there’s good and there’s bad.

QB – Ben had an awful game against the Skins. He DID run for a TD…but also, in his words felt his shoulder pop out on the play. This is not a good thing when it’s his THROWING shoulder. So, feeling the need to get SOMEONE to potentially back up Rivers, I dropped Lofa Tatupu (he of the ouchy groin which has limited his play) for Gus Frerotte. Yay, return of Headbutt! Garcia DEMOLISHED the awful Chiefs to the tune of 63.

RB – Portis struggled running against Pittsburgh, but his 7 catches for 73 yards help him score 39. LenDale didn’t do much this time, scoring a mere 11. Addai put up 21. For him, McFadden was a 0, and Julius Jones racked up 12. Awful.

Receiver – Bryant was awesome, putting up 61 points. My other three PUT TOGETHER didn’t reach that. I’m happy with Winslow’s 21, but a 14 from Breaston is a let down and a NINE from Marshall is horrendous. He did put in Greg Olsen…who ended up only scoring 7. Higgins got 9 on return yards. Boldin (46) and Gonzalez (53) were fucking awesome, though.

K – Nice performance! 36 points from Lindell beats 10 from Folk.

Defense – Yes, Virginia, my defense won me the game. Kerry Rhodes stunk, scoring 9, but that’s following a couple big games, so I can accept that. DJ Williams had 28, and may have blown an MCL. Chris Hope – 60. Posluszny – 49. Hill – 49. Harrison – 57. Bell – 53. On the other hand, he had 2 guys with more than 29.

The result, a 130 or so point win and an 8-1 record. Depending on the severity of the injury to Williams, I may be forced to drop him for a replacement. I know this next week is going to be a tad harsh, because the Skins are on a bye. That means no Portis, and no chance of Moss going back in to the lineup.

MVP – Chris fucking Hope in his first game with the team!

LVP – Marshall. NINE points? Blech.
