Jesus, I keep finding links to this stuff all over the forums I frequent. Anyway, this was an ad Nike ran in the late 90′s during the whole McGwire-Sosa home run battle. It has 2 pitchers, Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux (for the non-sportos…Maddux might be the best pitcher of the past 30 years, and Glavine doesn’t exactly suck, either), who, growing tired of seeing McGwire get all the chicks, decide to turn themselves in to power hitters. It’s friggin’ hilarious, and also EXTRA funny now that we know HOW exactly Mac was hitting all those taters (there’s one point where it shows a Nike billboard with McGwire, and a slogan reading ‘It Really IS The Shoes’…I had to pause it, because I burst in to uncontrollable laughter).
